Hosting, Operation and Technical Support

Software is not finished at launch. It needs updates, backups, an eye on errors and someone who can be reached when something goes wrong. Kais Solutions operates applications and websites on an ongoing basis – with one point of contact who knows the solution.

What support includes

Regular updates of the technical foundation, security patches, daily backups with tested restores, monitoring of availability and errors, and support for questions from day-to-day operation. On top of that comes the planning of extensions, so that new requirements are not solved around the application.

Hosting in Europe

Applications run in data centres within the EU; where Kais Solutions operates its own products, data processing, technical and organisational measures and service levels are documented. The same principles apply to custom-built applications – with contractually agreed response times if you wish.

When something goes wrong

Monitoring reports outages and errors before they pile up. Incidents are handled by urgency, and the cause is fixed rather than just the symptom. You learn what happened and what was done about it – without having to ask.

Plannable further development

Requests from day-to-day operation are collected, assessed and grouped into sensible stages. This keeps the application up to date without every small change becoming a project of its own. The effort is plannable and agreed in advance.

In practice

Own products that show this service.

Kais Solutions builds and runs its own applications. They show how this service is put into practice in real products.

Frequently asked questions

Do you also support software you did not develop?

Yes, after a technical review. It clarifies the state of the code, documentation and infrastructure and which risks exist. On that basis you receive an honest assessment of whether a takeover makes sense and what it costs.

Where is the data hosted?

In data centres within the EU. The providers and sub-processors used are disclosed, and a data processing agreement is concluded where required.

Is there a service level agreement?

For products such as SmartShelf the SLA is published. For individually supported applications, availability, response times and maintenance windows are set out in the support contract.

How are support costs calculated?

Usually as a monthly flat fee for hosting, updates, backups and monitoring, supplemented by an agreed hourly rate or a quota for extensions. The model is adapted to the scope of your application.

What happens if I want to switch providers?

Source code, data and documentation belong to you and are handed over in full when switching. An orderly handover to another team is part of how support is understood here, not an obstacle.
